1/35 British 7,2 inch howitzer - Thunder Model TM35211

The Thunder Model TM35211 1/35 1/35 British 7.2-inch Howitzer is a premium 1/35 scale kit from Thunder Model. Thunder Model is a Chinese manufacturer that has built a strong reputation for producing highly detailed 1/35 scale kits of engineering, transport, and utility vehicles — subjects that other manufacturers have largely ignored. Their range covers US Army engineering tractors and heavy wreckers, the British Scammell Pioneer family, LRDG patrol vehicles, German railway wagons, and other specialist subjects that are available from no other manufacturer in 1/35 scale.

The 7.2-inch howitzer was Britain's primary heavy corps-level artillery piece of the Second World War — a massive weapon derived from the Great War-era 8-inch howitzer, firing a 202lb shell to a range of over 15,000 yards. The 7.2-inch served with Royal Artillery heavy regiments in North Africa, Italy, and Northwest Europe, and was the weapon that provided the heaviest non-railway artillery available to British corps commanders. Thunder Model's kit pairs with the Scammell Pioneer R100 (TM35202) and the combined R100+Howitzer set (TM35212).
