The Master Box 1/35 British Infantry Before the Attack – WWI Western Front 1916 (Master Box 35114) is a highly detailed plastic model kit from Master Box Ltd., the Ukrainian manufacturer celebrated for its expressive figure sculpting, narrative diorama sets, and outstanding historical accuracy.
The moment before a WWI infantry assault — men gathered at the fire step, ladders ready, officers checking watches — was one of the most terrifying in military history. The British infantry of 1916 were largely volunteers of Kitchener's New Armies, citizen soldiers who answered the call with extraordinary courage. This Master Box set captures that tense, resolute moment before the whistle sounded on the Somme — one of the bloodiest days in British military history.
Key Features:
- 1/35 scale WWI British infantry pre-attack figures
- Ladder-climbing and assembly at the fire step poses
- Accurate 1916-era British uniforms, webbing, and equipment
- Lee Enfield rifles with bayonets fixed
- Ideal for Somme and Western Front trench dioramas
Master Box is widely respected among figure modellers for its storytelling approach to kit design — each set captures a specific human moment, from the intensity of close combat to the quiet humanity of soldiers at rest. Their figures are sculpted with exceptional anatomical accuracy and expressive detail, rewarding skilled painters with museum-quality results.
