The Meng Model TS-008 1/35 French FT-17 Light Tank (Cast Turret). Meng Model is one of the finest 1/35 scale plastic model kit manufacturers in the world today, noted for exceptional detail accuracy and fit quality.

The Renault FT-17 was the most important tank of the First World War and the most influential tank design in history. Developed in 1916-17, the FT-17 introduced two features that would define all subsequent tank design: the fully rotating turret (allowing the gun to fire in any direction), and the separation of the engine to the rear with the crew in a fighting compartment at the front. These features, now universal in tank design, made the FT-17 the direct ancestor of every modern main battle tank. Over 3,700 were produced, serving with French, American, Italian, and other Allied forces from 1917 onwards and remaining in service with various nations into the Second World War. Meng's TS-008 captures the cast turret variant — the more common of the two FT-17 turret types — with exceptional accuracy.

Key Features:

Cast turret variant — the primary FT-17 production type
Detailed running gear with correct track and suspension detail
Opening hatches — commander's cupola and engine access
Multiple paint scheme options with decals
Designed to be used with Meng HS-005 figure set
Unassembled and unpainted

Ideal For:

WWII armor and WWI diorama builders
Competition modelers seeking a premium kit
