1/35 Kubuś' (Warsaw’44 Uprising Armoured Car) - Mirage 355026

The Mirage Hobby 355026 1/35 1/35 'Kubuś' – Warsaw 1944 Uprising Armoured Car is a premium 1/35 scale model kit from Mirage Hobby, the Polish manufacturer specializing in inter-war and WWII light AFV subjects. Mirage Hobby is a Polish manufacturer that has carved a unique niche in 1/35 scale modeling — specializing in inter-war and early WWII subjects that no other manufacturer covers, with a particular focus on Polish, French, and British light tanks and carriers of the 1930s. Their kits often represent the only 1/35 scale treatment of their subjects, making them essential for collectors of these specialist eras.

The 'Kubuś' (Little James) was one of the most remarkable improvised armored vehicles of the Second World War — a Chevrolet 157 truck armored with boilerplate by Warsaw Uprising fighters in August 1944 as a makeshift combat vehicle. Named after a honey bear character from a Polish children's story, the Kubuś took part in combat operations during the Warsaw Uprising, attacking German positions in the Old Town district. Only one vehicle was built and used operationally. The Kubuś is now preserved at the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw, where it stands as a symbol of Polish resistance and ingenuity in the face of impossible odds. Mirage Hobby's 355026 is the definitive 1/35 scale model of this historically significant and emotionally compelling subject.
