The ICM 35617 Montgomery’s Staff figure set brings the command side of the Allied war effort to life. Produced in 1/35 scale using 100% new molds, this plastic figure kit depicts British command and staff personnel associated with senior Allied leadership during World War II, making it an outstanding centerpiece for headquarters‑focused dioramas.
Historical Background
Senior Allied commanders relied on extensive staff organizations to plan, coordinate, and execute large‑scale military operations. British headquarters during WWII were hubs of activity, where officers and support staff analyzed maps, issued orders, coordinated logistics, and prepared for major offensives such as the North African campaigns, the Italian campaign, and Northwest Europe following the Normandy landings.
Staff scenes were an essential part of military life away from the immediate front lines, often set in tents, commandeered buildings, or mobile headquarters. Depicting command staff allows modelers to show how decisions were made and how battlefield success depended on organization, planning, and leadership rather than combat alone.
