The Amusing Hobby 1/35 Neubaufahrzeug German Heavy Tank (35A003) recreates one of the most unusual and historically significant armored vehicles of early WWII. Developed in the 1930s as Germany’s first attempt at a multi‑turreted heavy tank, the Neubaufahrzeug served primarily as a propaganda and testing platform rather than a frontline combat vehicle. Only a handful were produced, and they saw limited action during the 1940 Norway campaign, where their imposing appearance drew considerable attention.
This early‑war giant featured a complex multi‑turret arrangement with a main 75mm gun paired with a coaxial 37mm cannon, supported by two smaller machine‑gun turrets. Although quickly rendered obsolete by evolving armored warfare doctrine, the Neubaufahrzeug remains a fascinating piece of German tank development history.
Amusing Hobby’s kit captures the distinctive look and engineering of this rare vehicle with:
Highly detailed multi‑turret configuration
Accurate 75mm and 37mm main gun assemblies
Crisp surface detail and clean molding
Detailed suspension and running gear
Link‑and‑length tracks for realistic sag
Excellent part fit for a smooth, enjoyable build
Perfect subject for early‑war camouflage and diorama scenes
Whether you’re building an early‑war collection or simply enjoy unique and historically rare armored vehicles, the Neubaufahrzeug offers a rewarding and visually striking modeling experience.
