1/35 Otter Light Reconnaisance Car - IBG 35019

The IBG 1/35 Otter Light Reconnaissance Car (IBG 35019) depicts the light armored car produced by General Motors Canada during the Second World War for British and Commonwealth forces. Based on the Chevrolet C15 Canadian Military Pattern truck chassis and built using many standard GM components, the Otter carried a hull-mounted Boys anti-tank rifle and a Bren light machine gun in a small open-topped turret.

Between 1942 and 1945, 1,761 Otters were produced in Oshawa, Ontario. The type served with Canadian units in the Italian Campaign and Northwest European operations, and was also employed by Polish, Czechoslovak, and South African units as well as the British RAF Regiment.
