1/35 Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. a3 - IBG German Light Tank - IBG 35078

The IBG 1/35 Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. a3 (IBG 35078) depicts a further refinement of the early production Panzer II series, part of the pre-war development that led to the more standardized Ausf. b and later production models.

Entering service in 1937, the 8-ton Pz.Kpfw. II formed the backbone of German armored forces during the invasion of Poland in 1939. Armed with a 20mm autocannon and a 7.92mm coaxial machine gun, it was intended to bridge the gap before the more capable Panzer III and IV became available in numbers. By 1940 the light, fast Pz.Kpfw. II was increasingly relegated to scouting and patrol duties, though the type continued to serve in various roles until 1945.

Key Features:

• 1/35 scale injection molded plastic kit depicting the Ausf. a3 configuration
• 20mm autocannon and 7.92mm coaxial machine gun accurately reproduced
• Detailed hull, turret, and running gear specific to the a3 variant
• Decal sheet for period German Army markings

Ideal For:

• Early-war German armor collectors
• Polish campaign diorama builders
• Modelers building the full IBG Pz.Kpfw. II range

The IBG 1/35 Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. a3 is a great pick for tracking the rapid early evolution of the Panzer II design.
