The Mirage Hobby 351007 1/35 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.L 'Luchs' Light Reconnaissance Tank is a premium 1/35 scale model kit from Mirage Hobby, the Polish manufacturer specializing in inter-war and WWII light AFV subjects. Mirage Hobby is a Polish manufacturer that has carved a unique niche in 1/35 scale modeling — specializing in inter-war and early WWII subjects that no other manufacturer covers, with a particular focus on Polish, French, and British light tanks and carriers of the 1930s. Their kits often represent the only 1/35 scale treatment of their subjects, making them essential for collectors of these specialist eras.
The Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf.L 'Luchs' (Lynx) was Germany's final and most refined light tank — a fast, well-designed reconnaissance vehicle with torsion bar suspension, a 20mm autocannon, and relatively good protection for its class. Only 100 were produced before the program was cancelled in favor of heavier vehicles. The Luchs served primarily on the Eastern Front and in Italy, where its speed and reliability made it valuable for reconnaissance despite being outgunned by most enemy tanks. The Luchs is a popular modeling subject due to its elegant design and rarity.
