The Amusing Hobby 1/35 Pz.Kpfw. VII Löwe German Super Heavy Tank (35A005) brings to life one of the most ambitious armored concepts proposed by Germany during WWII. Designed by Krupp as a next‑generation breakthrough tank, the Löwe (“Lion”) was intended to surpass even the Tiger II in armor protection and firepower. Although the project never advanced beyond the design stage, it remains one of the most iconic “paper panzer” concepts of the late war period.
The Löwe was envisioned in both leichte (light) and schwere (heavy) variants, with the heavy version projected to mount a powerful 105mm gun and extremely thick frontal armor. Its imposing silhouette and advanced engineering concepts make it a favorite among modelers who enjoy prototype vehicles, alternate‑history builds, and late‑war German armor.
Amusing Hobby’s kit captures the Löwe’s massive presence and distinctive design with:
Highly detailed hull and turret based on historical Krupp design studies
Impressive 105mm main gun assembly with crisp molding
Sharp surface textures and clean panel lines
Link‑and‑length tracks for realistic sag and easy assembly
Well‑engineered parts for a smooth, frustration‑free build
Large display footprint ideal for weathering, dioramas, and late‑war camouflage schemes
Whether you’re building a speculative late‑war scenario or adding a unique super‑heavy tank to your collection, the Löwe offers a visually striking and rewarding modeling experience.
