The Amusing Hobby 1/35 Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger (P) Prototype 003 German Heavy Tank (35A059) recreates one of the most fascinating early heavy‑tank prototypes developed by Germany during WWII. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche as a competitor to Henschel’s Tiger I, the Tiger (P) featured an advanced electric‑drive system, distinctive hull layout, and innovative engineering concepts that set it apart from its rival.
Prototype 003 represents one of the later iterations of Porsche’s design, incorporating refinements based on testing and battlefield expectations. Although the Tiger (P) ultimately lost the production contract to the Henschel design, its chassis went on to serve as the foundation for the formidable Ferdinand/Elefant tank destroyers—cementing its importance in German armored development.
Amusing Hobby’s kit captures the unique engineering and appearance of the Tiger (P) Prototype 003 with:
Highly detailed Porsche‑designed hull and suspension
Accurate Prototype 003 configuration and fittings
Detailed 88mm KwK 36 L/56 gun assembly
Crisp molding with sharp surface textures
Link‑and‑length tracks for realistic sag and easy assembly
Clean part fit and smart engineering for a smooth build
Ideal for early‑war “what‑if” schemes or historically inspired finishes
This kit is perfect for modelers who enjoy rare prototypes, early heavy‑tank development, and unique German engineering. The Tiger (P) Prototype 003 offers a rewarding build and a visually striking addition to any WWII armor collection.
