The IBG 1/35 TKS Polish Tankette with Machine Gun (IBG 35045) depicts the standard production configuration of Poland's TKS light reconnaissance tankette, armed with a Hotchkiss wz.25 machine gun as originally fielded.
The TKS was a Polish light reconnaissance tankette developed in the 1930s from the earlier TK-3 design, with improvements including modified frontal armor, a new engine, thicker armor plates, an improved drive train, and a commander's periscope. Serial production began in 1934, and a total of 280 were built.
The TKS formed a significant part of Poland's mechanized reconnaissance units during the September 1939 campaign, providing mobility and fire support to infantry despite its light armament.
