1/35 WWII SOVIET TANK DESANT TR00PS - Border BR-004

The Border Model 1/35 WWII Soviet Tank Desant Troops (5 Figures) (BR-004) is a highly detailed plastic model kit.

Tank desant — Soviet infantry riding directly on tank hulls into battle — was a hallmark of Red Army armored operations from Kursk through Berlin. With insufficient half-tracks and APCs, Soviet commanders relied on infantry clinging to T-34s and other AFVs for rapid exploitation of breakthroughs. These soldiers faced extreme danger from enemy fire, but their close coordination with tank crews proved tactically decisive in major operations like Bagration (1944) and the Vistula–Oder Offensive (1945). This practice became an iconic visual element of Eastern Front warfare.
