1/35 Sd.Kfz.164 Nashorn - Border Model BT-024

The Border Model BT-024 1/35 Sd.Kfz.164 Nashorn is a premium 1/35 scale plastic model kit from Border Model, the Chinese manufacturer renowned for pushing the boundaries of 1/35 armor kit quality with metal barrels, photo-etched detail, workable tracks, and full interior treatments as standard features.

The Sd.Kfz.164 Nashorn (Rhinoceros) — also known as the Hornisse (Hornet) — was one of Germany's most effective long-range tank destroyers of the Second World War. Built on the Geschützwagen III/IV hybrid chassis and mounting the devastating 8.8cm Pak 43/1 L/71 gun, the Nashorn could destroy any Allied tank at ranges exceeding 2,000 meters — a capability that made it feared by Soviet, British, and American tank crews across all theaters. The vehicle's open superstructure and tall profile made it vulnerable in close-range engagements, but in hull-down defensive positions and on the open steppes of the Eastern Front it proved a formidable opponent. The Nashorn served with the schwere Panzerjäger-Abteilungen throughout the war, from Kursk in 1943 to the final battles in Germany in 1945. Border Model's BT-024 captures this distinctive vehicle with the premium features — metal barrel, PE parts, and workable tracks — that the subject demands.
