1/35 Pz.Kpfw.Iv/70[A] Mid - Border Model BT-028

The Border Model BT-028 1/35 Pz.Kpfw. IV/70(A) – Mid Production is a premium 1/35 scale plastic model kit from Border Model, the Chinese manufacturer renowned for pushing the boundaries of 1/35 armor kit quality with metal barrels, photo-etched detail, workable tracks, and full interior treatments as standard features.

The Pz.Kpfw. IV/70(A) Mid Production represents the Alkett-built IV/70 variant as produced during the peak of its production run in late 1944. Combining the heavily sloped 80mm frontal armor of the Jagdpanzer IV family with the Alkett firm's characteristic detail differences from the Vomag-built IV/70(V), the mid-production vehicles featured the full Schürzen side armor, standard steel road wheels, and the established production fittings before the wartime simplifications of the final production run. The IV/70(A) served primarily on the Eastern Front and in the Ardennes offensive, where its powerful gun and low profile made it an effective defensive weapon despite the persistent nose-down stance caused by the weight of the gun and frontal armor overloading the forward road wheels.
