1/35 Sd.Kfz.251/22 75MM PaK 40 Type D Late - Border Model BT-043

The Border Model BT-043 1/35 Sd.Kfz.251/22 with 7.5cm PaK 40 – Type D Late is a premium 1/35 scale plastic model kit from Border Model, the Chinese manufacturer renowned for pushing the boundaries of 1/35 armor kit quality with metal barrels, photo-etched detail, workable tracks, and full interior treatments as standard features.

The Sd.Kfz.251/22 — the standard Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf.D halftrack fitted with the formidable 7.5cm Pak 40 anti-tank gun — was one of Germany's most effective improvised tank destroyer conversions of the late war period. As the Wehrmacht's manpower and equipment reserves dwindled, the simple expedient of mounting the proven Pak 40 on the mobile Sd.Kfz.251 platform created a fast-moving, cross-country capable tank hunter that could engage Soviet armor at combat ranges. The Type D Late hull incorporated the simplified production features of late-war manufacture. These vehicles served with Panzergrenadier divisions and independent tank destroyer units on the Eastern and Western Fronts from late 1943 until the end of the war. Border Model's BT-043 captures this lethal improvisation with metal gun barrel, PE details, and workable tracks.
