1/35 17pdr Self-Propelled Gun ‘Archer’ - Bronco Model CB35074

The Bronco Models CB35074 1/35 British 17pdr Self-Propelled Gun 'Archer' is a premium 1/35 scale plastic model kit representing one of the finest examples of military modeling available at AFVHobbyHub.com. This self-propelled gun / tank destroyer kit covers United Kingdom forces during the World War II era, offering exceptional historical accuracy and impressive detail right out of the box.

Historical Background:

The Archer (Valentine SP 17pr gun) was a British self-propelled anti-tank gun that mounted the formidable 17-pounder (76.2mm) gun on a Valentine tank hull — but uniquely facing rearward. This unusual arrangement allowed a lower profile but required the crew to drive forward into action and reverse away. Despite its quirks, the Archer's 17-pounder could defeat the frontal armor of virtually any German tank, and it served effectively in the Italian and Northwest European campaigns from 1944 onwards.

Key Features:

• 1/35 scale injection-molded plastic kit
• Complete Archer SP gun with rear-facing 17-pounder
• Detailed Valentine hull and modified superstructure
• Workable suspension system
• Photo-etched detail parts
• Multiple crew figure positions
• British Army and post-war service marking options

Ideal For:

• British armor enthusiasts
• WWII Northwest Europe and Italy campaign modelers
• Collectors of unusual and unique AFV designs
• Anti-tank gun and tank destroyer collectors
