1/35 Sd.Kfz.250/1 Ausf.B Neu Light Armored Halftrack – DAS WERK DW35029

The Das Werk DW35029 1/35 le.SPW Sd.Kfz.250/1 Ausf.B (Neu) – Light Armored Halftrack is a premium 1/35 scale plastic model kit from Das Werk, the German manufacturer known for releasing highly accurate kits of unusual, rare, and specialist German military vehicles that other manufacturers rarely tackle.

The Sd.Kfz.250/1 Ausf.B — the 'Neu' (new) version featuring the simplified angular armored body introduced to speed production — was one of Germany's most important light armored halftrack vehicles of the Second World War. The 250 series served as a light personnel carrier for Panzergrenadier units, a reconnaissance vehicle, and the basis for numerous specialized variants. The Ausf.B Neu introduced a completely redesigned superstructure with flat armor plates replacing the complex curved plates of the original Ausf.A, dramatically simplifying manufacture while maintaining the vehicle's capability. Sd.Kfz.250s served on every front from North Africa to the last battles in Germany, and Erwin Rommel's personal command version became one of the most photographed German vehicles of the entire war. Das Werk's DW35029 is their premium treatment of this important subject.
