The Das Werk DW35041 1/35 Panther Ausf. G Late Production – Super Blitz is a premium 1/35 scale plastic model kit from Das Werk, the German manufacturer known for releasing highly accurate kits of unusual, rare, and specialist German military vehicles that other manufacturers rarely tackle. It is part of Das Werk's innovative 'Super Blitz' series — premium-quality kits designed for quick, enjoyable building at an accessible price point.
The Panzerkampfwagen V Panther Ausf. G was the most produced and definitive variant of Germany's exceptional medium tank, with 2,953 units built between March 1944 and April 1945 by MAN, Daimler-Benz, and MNH. The Ausf. G introduced significant improvements over the earlier D and A variants, including a simplified glacis plate without the driver's vision port (replaced by a rotating periscope), the distinctive new commander's cupola with armored periscopes, and revised engine deck armored grilles. Late production Ausf. G tanks incorporated additional changes including steel-rimmed road wheel options, chin mantlets on some vehicles, and the option for infrared night vision equipment. The Panther Ausf. G is widely considered one of the best-balanced tank designs of the war, combining the lethal 7.5cm KwK 42 L/70 gun with impressive sloped armor and good mobility. Das Werk's DW35041 is part of the company's new 'Super Blitz' series — premium-quality kits at an exceptional price point, designed for rapid, enjoyable building without compromising on detail or features.
