The Gecko Models 35GM0109 1/35 60s–70s Vietnamese Children, Puppy and Buffalo is a highly detailed injection-molded plastic kit from Gecko Models, the Hong Kong-based manufacturer renowned for its finely detailed military vehicles, figures, and diorama accessories covering WWII British and Commonwealth subjects, Vietnam War-era scenes, and modern military subjects.
Children, animals, and everyday civilian life were an inescapable part of the Vietnam War experience for American and allied troops. Vietnamese children often gathered around US bases, and water buffaloes were ubiquitous in the countryside. This figure set — with two children, two water buffaloes, and a puppy — provides essential human and animal detail for Vietnam-era dioramas, capturing the interaction between the rural population and the military presence that defined the conflict.
