1/35 60's - 70's Vietnamese Farmer Cattle Cart Set - GECKO 35GM0110

The Gecko Models 35GM0110 1/35 60s–70s Saigon Shuttle Motor-Tricycle w/ Driver & Passengers is a highly detailed injection-molded plastic kit from Gecko Models, the Hong Kong-based manufacturer renowned for its finely detailed military vehicles, figures, and diorama accessories covering WWII British and Commonwealth subjects, Vietnam War-era scenes, and modern military subjects.

The Saigon motor-tricycle (lam bretta or Lambretta-derived tricar) was the quintessential civilian transport of South Vietnamese cities and towns in the 1960s–70s. Based on Italian Lambretta or Vespa scooter mechanics, these three-wheeled vehicles served as taxis, delivery vehicles, and family transport. Packed with passengers — often absurdly overloaded by Western standards — the Saigon shuttle tricar is one of the most evocative details of Vietnam War-era urban dioramas, representing the bustling civilian life that continued alongside the conflict.

Key Features:

• Accurately detailed vehicle body and mechanical components
• Driver and/or passenger figures included for scene animation
• Authentic 1960s–70s South Vietnamese civilian markings
• Injection-molded plastic with fine surface detail
• Base or scene-setting props included where applicable

Ideal For:

• Vietnam War civilian scene builders
• Modelers seeking authentic Southeast Asian detail
• Urban and street scene diorama creators
• Competition modelers aiming for unusual, conversation-starting subjects
