1/35 Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf.D Tauchpanzer – HobbyBoss 80132

The Hobby Boss 80132 1/35 Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf.D Tauchpanzer is a premium 1/35 scale plastic model kit from Hobby Boss, the Chinese manufacturer that has built a strong reputation for producing detailed kits of unusual and specialist subjects — particularly rare Soviet, Hungarian, and pre-war vehicles — that other manufacturers have not tackled.

The Panzerkampfwagen IV was Germany's most produced and longest-serving tank of the Second World War, serving from the Polish campaign of 1939 through the final defense of Germany in 1945. The early Ausf.B and Ausf.C variants mounted the short 7.5cm KwK 37 L/24 howitzer and were designed primarily for infantry support, while the Ausf.D introduced improved armor and became the final major pre-upgunning variant before the transformative introduction of the long-barrelled KwK 40 on the Ausf.F2. Hobby Boss's Panzer IV kits are renowned for capturing the specific detail differences between early production variants that other manufacturers tend to homogenize.
