1/35 German Flakpanzer V Ausf.A – HobbyBoss 84535

The Hobby Boss 84535 1/35 German Flakpanzer V Ausf.A is a premium 1/35 scale plastic model kit from Hobby Boss, the Chinese manufacturer that has built a strong reputation for producing detailed kits of unusual and specialist subjects — particularly rare Soviet, Hungarian, and pre-war vehicles — that other manufacturers have not tackled.

The Panther-based observation tank (Pz.Beob.Wg. V) was a specialized command and artillery observation vehicle based on the Panther Ausf.A hull, fitted with additional radio equipment and a dummy gun barrel. These vehicles gave artillery forward observers the protection and mobility of a combat tank while providing superior communications. The Flakpanzer V Ausf.A was a similar conversion mounting an anti-aircraft gun on the Panther hull.
