The I Love Kit 62004 1/200 Japanese Battleship Mikasa 1905 is a premium large-format injection-molded plastic ship model kit from I Love Kit (ILK), the manufacturer celebrated for its extraordinary large-scale naval subjects that push the boundaries of what is possible in injection-molded ship modelling.

IJN Mikasa was the flagship of Admiral Heihachiro Togo during the Russo-Japanese War (1904–05) and is one of the most historically significant warships in Japanese naval history. A British-built pre-dreadnought battleship of the Formidable-class design, she was laid down at Vickers' Barrow-in-Furness yard and commissioned in 1902. Her crowning moment came at the Battle of Tsushima on 27–28 May 1905 — the most decisive naval battle of the modern era — where Admiral Togo's fleet destroyed almost the entire Russian Baltic Fleet that had sailed halfway around the world to meet its fate. The battle demonstrated the ascendancy of Japanese sea power and shocked the world, contributing directly to the Russian Revolution of 1905 and Japan's emergence as a major world power. Mikasa survived the war, was damaged by an accidental magazine explosion in 1905, and was eventually preserved as a memorial ship at Yokosuka, Japan — where she remains to this day, the world's only preserved pre-dreadnought battleship. This I Love Kit 1/200 masterpiece renders Mikasa in her 1905 Battle of Tsushima configuration with over 930 parts, a completed model 658.5mm long and 124mm wide, offering an exceptional level of detail for such an historically momentous vessel.
