1/35 M3 Lee Medium Tank - I Love Kit 63521

The I Love Kit 1/35 M3 Lee Medium Tank (ILK 63521) represents the US-pattern turret configuration of the Medium Tank, M3, named after Confederate general Robert E. Lee. Rushed into production in 1941 to field a tank capable of mounting a 75mm main gun, the M3 Lee's distinctive layout combined a sponson-mounted 75mm gun with a rotating turret carrying a 37mm gun and coaxial machine gun, topped by a small command cupola.

Though its high silhouette and sponson-mounted main gun were considered stopgap compromises, the M3 Lee equipped American units in North Africa and the Pacific and provided crucial combat experience ahead of the M4 Sherman's arrival, making it one of the most historically significant American tank designs of the early war years.

Key Features:

• 1/35 scale injection molded plastic kit with detailed hull and turret sub-assemblies
• US-pattern turret with command cupola accurately reproduced
• Multi-directional slide molded hull for crisp riveted and welded panel detail
• Individual link track running gear for realistic sag
• Photo etched parts and full decal sheet for authentic US Army markings

I Love Kit's engineering brings out the M3 Lee's unmistakable profile, making it an excellent centerpiece for any early-war American armor display.

Ideal For:

• Early-war US Army armor collectors
• North Africa and Pacific theater diorama builders
• Modelers building the full I Love Kit M3 Lee/Grant lineup

The I Love Kit 1/35 M3 Lee Medium Tank is a rewarding, historically important build for any WWII armor collection.
