The ICM 1/35 le.gl.Einheitz-Pkw Kfz.2, WWII German Light Radio Communication Car (ICM 35583) depicts the three-seat radio communication body variant of Germany's light standardized all-road car, fitted with a Torn.Fu.b1 radio set.
From 1933, Germany began modernizing its army with special standardized all-road passenger cars in light, medium, and heavy classes, all featuring all-wheel drive, independent suspension, and a simplified open body. The light uniform all-road car (leichter geländegängiger Einheits-Pkw) was manufactured by Stoewer, and also by BMW and Hanomag, from 1936 onward. Around 13,000 examples were built in total, though the design ultimately proved too heavy, complicated, and unreliable for efficient mass-production.
Key Features:
- 1/35 scale injection molded plastic kit with radio communication body
- Highly detailed chassis, engine, and interior
- 4 marking options included: 29th Artillery Regiment (France, June 1940), 3./JG 51 (Smolensk, August 1941), 6. P.D. (Russia, September 1941), and Ramcke Brigade (Libya, 1942)
Ideal For:
- German signals and communications unit collectors
- Multi-theater WWII diorama builders
- Modelers building the full ICM le.gl.Einheitz-Pkw range
The ICM 1/35 le.gl.Einheitz-Pkw Kfz.2 is a compact, well-detailed build with genuine multi-theater flexibility.
