1/35 US Army Armored Tractor - Thunder Model TM35007

The Thunder Model TM35007 1/35 1/35 US Army Armored Tractor is a premium 1/35 scale kit from Thunder Model. Thunder Model is a Chinese manufacturer that has built a strong reputation for producing highly detailed 1/35 scale kits of engineering, transport, and utility vehicles — subjects that other manufacturers have largely ignored. Their range covers US Army engineering tractors and heavy wreckers, the British Scammell Pioneer family, LRDG patrol vehicles, German railway wagons, and other specialist subjects that are available from no other manufacturer in 1/35 scale.

Armored tractors were specialized engineering vehicles used by US Army engineer battalions for runway construction, obstacle clearing, and earthmoving in forward areas where conventional unarmored vehicles would be vulnerable to enemy fire. The armored cab and body protected the operator while allowing the tractor to work in exposed positions close to enemy lines — a capability that was essential during amphibious operations and in the immediate aftermath of beachhead landings. Thunder Model's armored tractor is the definitive 1/35 kit of this unusual and compelling subject.
