1/35 Scammell Pioneer Tank Transporter 30t - Thunder Model TM35200

The Thunder Model TM35200 1/35 1/35 Scammell Pioneer Tank Transporter 30t is a premium 1/35 scale kit from Thunder Model. Thunder Model is a Chinese manufacturer that has built a strong reputation for producing highly detailed 1/35 scale kits of engineering, transport, and utility vehicles — subjects that other manufacturers have largely ignored. Their range covers US Army engineering tractors and heavy wreckers, the British Scammell Pioneer family, LRDG patrol vehicles, German railway wagons, and other specialist subjects that are available from no other manufacturer in 1/35 scale.

The Scammell Pioneer was Britain's primary heavy tank transporter of the Second World War — a massive 6×4 tractor designed to haul the 30-ton TRMU30 semi-trailer loaded with Matilda, Valentine, Churchill, and later Cromwell tanks between rail heads and forward positions. The Pioneer's powerful 6-cylinder Gardner diesel engine and massive frame gave it the pulling power needed for the heaviest British tanks. Thunder Model's Pioneer series is the definitive 1/35 coverage of this important and visually impressive vehicle family.
