The Thunder Model TM35201 1/35 1/35 Scammell Pioneer Recovery Vehicle SV/2S is a premium 1/35 scale kit from Thunder Model. Thunder Model is a Chinese manufacturer that has built a strong reputation for producing highly detailed 1/35 scale kits of engineering, transport, and utility vehicles — subjects that other manufacturers have largely ignored. Their range covers US Army engineering tractors and heavy wreckers, the British Scammell Pioneer family, LRDG patrol vehicles, German railway wagons, and other specialist subjects that are available from no other manufacturer in 1/35 scale.

The Scammell Pioneer SV/2S was the recovery vehicle variant of the Pioneer chassis — fitted with a heavy-duty crane, winch, and recovery equipment for battlefield tank recovery duties. The SV/2S served with Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) recovery sections, capable of recovering damaged Churchill and Valentine tanks from the battlefield. Thunder Model captures this important variant with the same detail standard as the rest of the Pioneer series.
