1/35 German Gr Guterwagen - Thunder Model TM35902

The Thunder Model TM35902 1/35 1/35 German Gr Güterwagen Open Freight Wagon is a premium 1/35 scale kit from Thunder Model. Thunder Model is a Chinese manufacturer that has built a strong reputation for producing highly detailed 1/35 scale kits of engineering, transport, and utility vehicles — subjects that other manufacturers have largely ignored. Their range covers US Army engineering tractors and heavy wreckers, the British Scammell Pioneer family, LRDG patrol vehicles, German railway wagons, and other specialist subjects that are available from no other manufacturer in 1/35 scale.

The German Gr Güterwagen was an open-sided gondola freight wagon — used for carrying bulk cargo, heavy equipment, and materials that did not require the weather protection of a covered boxcar. Open wagons like the Gr type were used to transport tanks, artillery, and other heavy military equipment by rail. Thunder Model's Gr wagon complements their G10 boxcar in providing essential rail transport accessories for WWII European diorama builders.
