1/200 HMS Nelson 1944 - TRUMPETER 03708

The Trumpeter 03708 1/200 HMS Nelson (1944) is a highly detailed injection-molded plastic model kit from Trumpeter, the Chinese manufacturer renowned for its extensive range of large-scale warships, 1/35 military vehicles and helicopters, and specialty military subjects.

HMS Nelson was the lead ship of the Nelson class — Britain's most powerful battleships of the interwar period, unique in mounting all nine 16-inch guns forward of the superstructure. Commissioned in 1927, she served throughout WWII and was present at the signing of the Italian armistice in September 1943. The 1944 configuration shows Nelson fitted with wartime modifications including updated anti-aircraft armament and radar systems. Together with HMS Rodney, she represented the pinnacle of British battleship design within the constraints of the Washington Naval Treaty.
