The Engine of the Mess Tent: ICM 35619 US Field Stove M1937
They say an army marches on its stomach, and for the US Army in WWII, the M1937 Field Stove was the reason why. The ICM 35619 1/35 Scale US Field Stove M1937 with Cooks provides modelers with a precision-engineered look at the vital logistics of the European and Pacific theaters. This isn't just a piece of equipment; it's a "story-in-a-box" that adds a unique human element to your collection of tanks and trucks.
Why the ICM 35619 belongs on your workbench:
  • Exceptional Figure Sculpting: ICM is renowned for its lifelike figures, and this set is no exception. The two included cooks are captured in natural, busy poses—one managing a large pot and the other handling supplies—giving your diorama an instant sense of movement and purpose.
  • Authentic M1937 Stove Detail: The stove unit itself is meticulously detailed, capturing the rugged, utilitarian design of the US Army Mess kit. It is the perfect centerpiece for a mess tent or the back of a CCKW 2.5-ton truck.
  • Massive Accessory Selection: To ensure your mess scene is complete, ICM provides a wide range of accessories, including large cooking pots, pans, ladles, and food crates. These parts are perfect for practicing "metallic" and "burnt" weathering effects.
  • Cross-Era Versatility: While a staple of WWII, the M1937 stove saw service well into the Korean War and early Vietnam eras, making it a versatile addition for any mid-century US military collection.
  • Perfect for the 2026 Convention Season: If you are preparing an entry for the 2026 AMPS International Convention, unique logistical scenes like this stand out to judges. It demonstrates a sophisticated approach to diorama building that highlights the "men behind the machines."
Pro-Builder’s Detailing Tip:
Create a truly immersive "feeding the troops" scene by adding LIANG Model 0416 Glass Wine Bottles (liberated from a nearby village) or LIANG 0433 Soda Crates to the cook's supply pile. Use the LIANG 0401 Shoeprint Tools (US patterns) to show the heavy foot traffic around the stove area in the mud. For an extra touch of realism, use the LIANG 0404 Handprint Tools to add a few greasy smudges to the stove’s exterior panels!
Add the flavor of the front lines to your build. Order the ICM 35619 US Field Stove M1937 today at AFVHobbyHub.com!
