Americana Regional Convention – Southeast Competition Heats Up

Date: July 18, 2026
Location: Havelock, North Carolina
Event: IPMS Region 12 Regional Convention

The Americana Regional Convention, hosted by IPMS Region 12, will take place on July 18 in Havelock, North Carolina. Representing one of the premier regional events in the Southeast, this convention gathers modelers from across the Carolinas and neighboring states.

Regional conventions stand apart from standard local shows by offering a higher level of competition and participation. Entries often reflect advanced techniques in weathering, detailing, and historical accuracy, making the event both competitive and educational.

In addition to the contest tables, attendees can explore vendor areas stocked with kits, decals, and specialty tools. The event also provides opportunities for networking with experienced modelers and club representatives, making it a valuable experience for anyone looking to deepen their involvement in the hobby.

For modelers in Georgia, the Carolinas, and surrounding states, the Americana Regional is a key summer milestone on the IPMS calendar. [ipmsusa.org]
