AFV Hobby Hub is excited to welcome Mirage Models to its growing lineup of armor model kits. Mirage Models has long been recognized within the modeling community for producing kits that cover unusual, early‑war, and underrepresented armored vehicles—subjects that often appeal to builders seeking something different for their collection.
For modelers interested in historical depth and variety, Mirage Models offers a refreshing alternative to more common AFV subjects. Their catalog includes vehicles that played important roles despite limited production numbers or service with smaller armed forces, making them ideal for historically focused builds and research‑driven projects.
About Mirage Models
Mirage Models has built its reputation around producing injection‑molded kits of armored vehicles that are rarely covered by other manufacturers. Their kits often focus on early armor development, light tanks, armored cars, and AFVs from lesser‑modeled nations, giving builders access to subjects that help broaden the scope of their collections.
These kits are especially appealing to modelers who enjoy studying historical references, applying custom finishes, and adding personalized detailing to achieve a distinctive final result.
What Modelers Can Expect
Mirage Models kits are typically recognized for:
- Unique and uncommon AFV subjects
- Strong historical significance, especially early and interwar vehicles
- Solid foundations for detailing and aftermarket upgrades
- Appeal to experienced builders who enjoy hands‑on modeling
Because many Mirage kits depict less familiar vehicles, they are often chosen by modelers who enjoy research‑based projects and wish to develop deeper historical narratives around their builds.
Expanding Modeling Possibilities
Including Mirage Models in the AFV Hobby Hub catalog supports builders who value originality and historical exploration. These kits pair well with figure sets, weathering techniques, and diorama settings that emphasize lesser‑known theaters or early mechanized warfare.
Mirage Models subjects are also excellent conversation pieces at shows and club meetings, standing out due to their rarity and historical interest.
Growing the AFV Hobby Hub Selection
The addition of Mirage Models reflects AFV Hobby Hub’s continued focus on providing a well‑rounded selection of armor kits—from modern, highly engineered releases to historically important and less common vehicles.
As availability allows, additional Mirage Models kits will be added over time, giving builders more opportunities to tackle unique AFV projects.
