1/35 German Submariners Commanders - Border BR-002

The Border Model 1/35 German Submariners & Commanders in Action (6 Figures) (BR-002) is a highly detailed plastic model kit.

The German U-Boat crew were among WWII's most celebrated yet tragic fighting forces. Operating in the deadly Battle of the Atlantic from 1939 to 1945, the Kriegsmarine's submarine arm — the U-Bootwaffe — sank over 3,500 Allied ships. At its peak in 1942, U-boats sank 1,006 ships. However, improved Allied convoy tactics, radar, and air cover turned the tide; of the approximately 40,000 men who served in U-boats, nearly 30,000 were killed — one of the highest casualty rates of any branch of service in any nation during WWII.
