1/35 LRDG Wireless Truck Bonus edition - Thunder Model TM35309

The Thunder Model TM35309 1/35 1/35 LRDG Wireless Truck – Bonus Edition is a premium 1/35 scale kit from Thunder Model. Thunder Model is a Chinese manufacturer that has built a strong reputation for producing highly detailed 1/35 scale kits of engineering, transport, and utility vehicles — subjects that other manufacturers have largely ignored. Their range covers US Army engineering tractors and heavy wreckers, the British Scammell Pioneer family, LRDG patrol vehicles, German railway wagons, and other specialist subjects that are available from no other manufacturer in 1/35 scale.

The Long Range Desert Group's wireless truck was the communications lifeline of LRDG patrols deep in the Libyan Desert — a modified Ford 30-cwt truck carrying the radio equipment that allowed patrols to report enemy movements from hundreds of miles behind German and Italian lines. The wireless truck carried the No.11 set and associated equipment, and its operator was one of the most critically important members of any LRDG patrol. Thunder Model's Bonus Edition adds extra figures and marking options to the standard release.

Key Features:

• LRDG wireless truck with detailed radio equipment
• Bonus Edition — additional figures and marking options
• Desert modification details — sun compass, condensers, extra fuel
• LRDG patrol marking options
• Unassembled and unpainted

Ideal For:
