Enhance your Pacific Theater Sherman build with a distinctive and historically inspired battlefield modification using the Lanmo LM35031 1/35 Pacific War Sherman Wooden Armour Set Type B, available now at AFVHobbyHub.com. During World War II, U.S. forces operating in the Pacific frequently applied improvised wooden armor to Sherman tanks to help cushion the effects of Japanese anti‑tank weapons, mines, and close‑assault explosives.
This 1/35 scale detail upgrade kit faithfully recreates the Type B wooden armor configuration, capturing the rough, improvised construction characteristic of Pacific island campaigns. Lanmo is known for precision‑engineered armor accessories, and LM35031 delivers sharply detailed wooden planking, mounting components, and realistic proportions designed to integrate seamlessly with compatible Sherman kits. The wooden armor immediately identifies a tank as Pacific Theater–deployed and adds dramatic visual impact.
Best suited for intermediate to advanced modelers, this set is ideal for builders creating Pacific island combat scenes, beachhead dioramas, or late‑war jungle operations featuring U.S. Army or Marine Corps Sherman tanks. When combined with wading equipment, stowage, and tropical weathering, the wooden armor transforms a standard Sherman into an authentic Pacific War vehicle.
