ZIMI Model

Zimi Models is one of the most exciting new names in military scale modeling. The Chinese manufacturer was founded in 2023 by the team behind Hong Model, the studio known for its highly regarded 1/35 MH-60 and Little Bird helicopter kits. Zimi builds on that experience with a line of 1/35 and 1/48 kits that combine modern tooling, detailed engineering and subjects other brands tend to skip.

The range covers modern Chinese PLA armor, such as the ZTZ-99B main battle tank with full interior, the Norinco VT-4 A1 and the ZBD-04A IFV. It also includes U.S. subjects like the Stryker M1296 Dragoon, the ACV-P amphibious combat vehicle and the MH-6/AH-6 Little Bird family, plus Cold War classics like the ZSU-23-4 Shilka and Ural trucks. Zimi's first release was the 1/35 US Navy 40mm Quad Bofors anti-aircraft mount, and it showed the kind of detail the brand aims for.
