The Meng Model TS-009 1/35 French Super-Heavy Tank Char 2C. Meng Model is one of the finest 1/35 scale plastic model kit manufacturers in the world today, noted for exceptional detail accuracy and fit quality.

The Char 2C was the largest and heaviest tank ever to enter production — and one of the most extraordinary vehicles of the inter-war period. Designed during WWI but not completed until 1921, each of the ten Char 2C built weighed approximately 69 tonnes and was crewed by 12 men. At over 10 metres long, the Char 2C featured a primary turret mounting a 75mm gun at the front, a secondary turret with a 37mm gun at the rear, and four machine guns in sponson mountings. These behemoths served in the French Army's 511ème Régiment de Chars de Combat — paraded before the cameras and used for propaganda purposes throughout the 1930s. In May 1940, the ten operational Char 2C were being transported by rail to the front when the train was captured by German forces; the French crews sabotaged the tanks before surrendering. Meng's TS-009 is the definitive 1/35 scale Char 2C — a massive model requiring significant bench space.

Key Features:

  • Massive assembled model — one of the largest 1/35 scale tank kits available
  • Full detail of both primary 75mm and secondary 37mm turrets
  • All four machine gun sponsons accurately reproduced
  • Detailed running gear and complex track system
  • Interior detail visible through opening hatches
  • Multiple paint scheme options with decals
  • Unassembled and unpainted

Ideal For:

  • WWII armor and WWI diorama builders
  • Competition modelers seeking a premium kit
  • Intermediate to advanced scale modelers
  • Meng Model collectors
