1/32 Lancaster - Border BF-011

The Border Model 1/32 Avro Lancaster B Mk III (Special) 'Dambusters' (BF-011) is a highly detailed plastic model kit.

The Avro Lancaster B Mk III (Special) — known as the 'Dambusters' Lancaster — carried the legendary Barnes Wallis-designed 'Upkeep' bouncing bomb during Operation Chastise on the night of May 16–17, 1943. No. 617 Squadron RAF, led by Wing Commander Guy Gibson, attacked the Möhne, Eder, and Sorpe dams in Germany's industrial Ruhr valley. The mission became one of the most celebrated air operations of WWII, combining extraordinary engineering, precision flying at extremely low altitude, and remarkable courage. The Lancaster B Mk III (Special) was specially modified — the bomb bay doors removed and the bomb hung externally and spun to 500 rpm before release.
